Scydo is a Free App for iPhone or Android users.
If two devices have the Scydo App installed they can call each other for free.
So an iPhone can call an Android mobile for free.
And of course iPhone-to-iPhone and Android-to-Android is also free.
With Scydo it's possible to call your 'normal' contacts from your phones contactlist through the Scydo service.
In your contact list will appear the Scydo symbol if you can call the person for free with Scydo.
It's also possible to make calls to normal (not Scydo users) telephonenumbers.
You don't have to change anything for this in the App.
But this service is not for free.
You can find the costs for this type of calls on the Scydo webpage (link below on this page).
The costs for the service depend on the country you are calling and if the destination number is
a mobile or regular landline number.
To make use of this service you have to buy a prepaid amount.
This can be done with several types of payments, all of them can be found on the Scydo MyAccount page.
On the website you can find your MyAccount area under the Login link, you have to login with your
Mobile Telephone number and Password (which you used to make the account).
To make it easier to try the Scydo normal telephone service they will give you
2,50 euro for free on your account when you sign up for the Scydo service.
So trying this is also free.
If you use the Scydo normal telephone service you will also pay a standard connection fee for every call.
For Scydo you need internet access on your mobile.
Scydo calls are actually VOIP calls which use the internet.
The best thing to have for Scydo is a WIFI connection (which is mostly good quality and good speed) or
a 3G mobile connection (which is mostly available in populated places).
Watch out....your Scydo call will be disconnected if you leave the area of your WIFI connection.
The 3G mobile connection will not automatically take over the connection.
If you have an Scydo connection with 3G and you walk into a WIFI connection Scydo will not switch
to the WIFI connection, the connection will stay alive with 3G.
So always watch out that if you don't have an unlimited internet access you don't have to pay for your internet use.
